Meera had always dreamed of starting her own small bakery. After years of working in a busy office, she finally gathered the courage to try. She rented a tiny shop near her neighborhood and spent weeks preparing recipes, decorating the space, and planning the menu.
However, the first few months were extremely difficult. Some days, only two or three customers visited the shop. Bills started to pile up, and Meera began to worry about her savings. Her relatives advised her to abandon the bakery and return to a stable office job.
At first, Meera seriously considered their advice. One evening, while counting the day's small earnings, she thought about whether she should abandon her dream before it caused bigger financial problems.
But the turning point came unexpectedly. A local food blogger visited the bakery and tried Meera’s chocolate bread. He loved it and wrote an enthusiastic review online. Within a week, many people from nearby areas started visiting the shop.
Suddenly, the bakery that once looked empty was filled with customers. Meera worked long hours baking fresh bread, cakes, and pastries. Sometimes she remembered how close she had been to giving up.
One evening, her friend Rahul asked, “Did you ever think of closing the shop?”
Meera laughed. “Many times. I almost decided to abandon everything. But I’m glad I didn’t.”
She realized that success often appears right when people feel ready to abandon their efforts. If she had abandoned the bakery earlier, she would have never experienced the joy of seeing people enjoy her food.
From that day forward, whenever she faced a difficult moment, Meera reminded herself of one simple rule: never abandon a dream too quickly.
