When Aarushi joined her new school in Pune, she quickly realized that the school had very strict rules. Every student had to wear the proper uniform, arrive on time, and respect the teachers. The principal often reminded everyone that students must abide by the school rules if they wanted to succeed.
At first, Aarushi did not think the rules were important. One day she arrived late to class and tried to quietly enter the room. Her teacher stopped the lesson and gently reminded her that every student must abide by the school schedule. Aarushi felt embarrassed but promised herself she would be more careful.
A few weeks later, the school announced a science exhibition. Students could work in teams and present creative experiments. Aarushi and her friend Kabir decided to build a small water filtration system. However, during preparation, Kabir suggested using some materials that were not allowed in the school lab.
Aarushi remembered what the teachers always said: good students must abide by the rules even when no one is watching. She explained to Kabir that if they didn’t abide by the lab guidelines, their project might be disqualified. Kabir initially disagreed, thinking the rules were unnecessary.
The turning point came when their science teacher visited their workspace. She explained that the safety rules existed to protect students from accidents. After hearing this, Kabir finally agreed that they should abide by the guidelines.
Together they redesigned their project using approved materials. It took extra effort, but the model worked beautifully. On exhibition day, their filtration system impressed many visitors because it was both safe and effective.
At the end of the event, the principal praised their team for creativity and responsibility. Aarushi realized something important that day. Rules were not meant to control students but to guide them. Learning to abide by fair rules helped everyone work safely and successfully.
From then on, Aarushi always tried to abide by school policies and encourage others to do the same.
