When Maya visited her grandfather’s village during summer vacation, she expected a quiet and slow life. The village was surrounded by green fields, old trees, and a small river. On her first morning there, her grandfather took her for a walk along the riverbank. As they walked, he smiled and said, “This place may seem simple, but wonderful things abound here.”
At first Maya did not understand what he meant. The village looked peaceful but ordinary. However, as they continued walking, she started noticing small details. Butterflies of many colors flew around the flowers. Birds sang from the trees, and fish jumped in the clear water. Slowly Maya realized that nature truly seemed to abound in this quiet place.
One afternoon, Maya explored the nearby forest with her cousin Arjun. Arjun explained that the forest was famous because rare plants abound there. They searched carefully and discovered unusual flowers, strange mushrooms, and tiny insects that Maya had never seen before. She was amazed that so many unique forms of life could abound in one small forest.
But their adventure soon faced a problem. While exploring deeper, they realized they had lost the path back to the village. The forest was beautiful, but now the tall trees looked confusing. Maya began to worry. Arjun tried to remember his grandfather’s advice: where nature abounds, clues for direction also abound.
They started looking carefully around them. Soon they noticed a small stream flowing between rocks. Arjun remembered that all streams in the forest eventually lead to the main river near the village. Following the water, they walked slowly and patiently.
After nearly an hour, the trees opened and they saw the familiar riverbank again. Maya felt relieved and excited at the same time.
That evening, Maya told her grandfather about their adventure. He laughed and said, “In places where life abounds, curiosity and discovery also abound.”
From that day on, Maya realized that abundance is not always about money or cities. Sometimes the richest places are those where nature, beauty, and surprises abound all around.
