Riya had always loved solving puzzles. One afternoon, her teacher announced a strange challenge for the entire class. They had to solve a mystery hidden somewhere in the school building. The first student to solve it would win a special prize.
At first, the clues seemed normal. The first clue pointed to the library. The second clue led to the science lab. But the third clue made everyone pause. It said, "Look where the sun rises inside the building." Most students immediately called it absurd. "The sun rises outside, not inside," one of them complained.
Riya thought carefully. The clue sounded absurd, but she remembered that sometimes puzzles used strange ideas to hide simple answers. She walked around the school slowly, observing every corner. Suddenly, she noticed a large mural painted on the wall of the hallway. The mural showed a bright sunrise over mountains.
"Maybe the clue isn't absurd after all," she whispered. She looked closely at the painting and found a small envelope hidden behind the frame. Inside was the next clue.
Soon the puzzle became even more confusing. One message told students to "listen to silent music." Another suggested "finding the coldest fire." Many students gave up, saying the clues were too absurd to solve.
But Riya kept going. She realized the "silent music" was the rhythm of the old clock in the corridor. The "coldest fire" was a blue flame in the chemistry lab poster. Step by step, she followed every strange hint.
Finally, the last clue led her to the principal's office. Inside a drawer, she found the final envelope. When she opened it, a golden badge fell into her hand.
The teacher later explained that every clue sounded absurd on purpose. The challenge was not just about intelligence, but about imagination. While others dismissed the ideas as absurd, Riya treated them as possibilities.
That day, she learned something important: sometimes what seems absurd at first can lead to the most interesting discoveries.
