During the first week of the school drama club, students gathered in the auditorium to prepare for the annual stage play. This year, they had chosen a mystery adventure story filled with twists, hidden clues, and dramatic confrontations.
Arjun, a quiet but talented student, was excited when he was selected to play the hero. The story revolved around a brave explorer trying to solve a strange disappearance in an old mountain town.
But the play also required a strong antagonist. The antagonist was the mysterious town leader who secretly tried to stop the hero from discovering the truth.
To everyone's surprise, the drama teacher chose Kabir for the role of the antagonist. Kabir was known for being competitive and confident, and some students worried he might take the role too seriously.
During rehearsals, Kabir played the antagonist with incredible energy. His expressions, voice, and timing made every confrontation intense. When he faced Arjun on stage, the scenes felt real and dramatic.
However, a problem soon appeared. Some students began thinking Kabir was actually behaving like an antagonist in real life too. His strong acting style sometimes made rehearsals tense.
One afternoon, the drama teacher gathered everyone together. She explained that a great story needs both a hero and an antagonist. The antagonist creates challenges that help the hero grow.
Kabir listened carefully. He realized that playing a powerful antagonist didn't mean creating real conflict with his teammates.
After that discussion, rehearsals changed. Kabir still played the antagonist brilliantly on stage, but off stage he encouraged Arjun and helped others practice their lines.
When the final performance arrived, the audience loved the show. Many people later said the intense scenes between the hero and the antagonist were the most memorable part of the play.
Arjun smiled after the performance. Without a strong antagonist, the story would never have been so exciting.
